Outcomes: Social Media Internship with the Architecture Department
Following on from my experience working as a Social Media Intern for the Architecture Department, this section focuses on the main outcomes and achievements from the internship.
One of the key outcomes from this experience was producing social media content that successfully engaged a wider audience online. In particular, I created an “Evening in the Life of an Architecture Student” TikTok, which was first shared on my personal page while further edits were being developed for the department’s central platform. The video performed well online, gaining increased views, engagement, and followers, while also helping promote student life within the architecture department in a more relatable and accessible way.

Alongside the content creation itself, the internship helped me develop professional and transferable skills through working with the university marketing team. This included communication, organisation, time management, teamwork, responding to feedback, and understanding how professional briefs and branding operate within a creative environment.
As a result of this experience, I have also added new skills and experience to my LinkedIn profile, including areas related to social media marketing, digital communication, content creation, and professional collaboration. Developing experience within both architecture and digital media has allowed me to broaden my skillset and strengthen my professional profile moving forward.
